I’m so excited to announce the release of "Hold On Me" by Skyrise, our 3rd single, out now as of August 9th! This single is particularly meaningful to me, as it represents my first experience as a producer and mixing engineer. In addition to those roles, I was also an instrumental songwriter for this song, and I performed the guitar tracks.
Collaborating with my talented friend Jennifer Phan, who co-produced and co-mixed the song, was an invaluable learning experience. Together, we explored a variety of production techniques- incorporating string parts, experimental synths, and several guitar overdubs with diverse tone designs. I'm especially proud of the dual guitar and keys solo section, as well as the high-cut automation applied in the breakdown, which added significant depth to the track. I want to thank Jen for her willingness to teach me and her partnership throughout this process; I really loved working with her.
This project has been a significant step in my professional development, and I'm thrilled to be in the midst of repeating and improving on the production and mixing process with our upcoming single, "Pierce Through." Each one of Skyrise’s singles has been significantly stronger than the last, and I cannot wait to share more music!
